Capernwray in 2008

Well, 2008 thus far has been a bit bumpy, but I have high hopes for it. My flight has been delayed 9 hours, so I leave in the morning at 6:20, that is to say, I fly out at 6:20, and will probably leave home around 2. Fun. School started last Saturday, so what’s another 9 hours?

Nonetheless, what I mean to get at is that once I arrive in Manchester I’m going to be picked up by my new room mate, and good pal Thomas Goodfellow! He is quite the gent, and host. We tease him sometimes about his accent, but really, we LOVE it! I am excited to have him as a room mate, and Cladiau and Josh just as much! I’ve seen the room, and it is nice. So if nothing else, this new term will bring welcome company and a sweet room.

I’m looking forward to the Drama I’m involved in, it’s traveling around some public schools in February. Our group is great, and I’m having tons of fun doing it! It’s a neat snapshot of the Bible, from creation to Jesus really, with some very cool connecting scenes. Can’t wait until we’re ready for prime time.

At the end of the term at Capernwray (in March) we all go different 10 day outreaches — I’m excited to see what I’ll be doing. They send people all over the UK, so I could really end up any where. That will be fun — I’ll try and keep you updated as soon as I hear anything.

After that I’ll be heading down to Oxford to visit my brother, Frank again. If it’s affordable we might see if we can take in a day at Paris before I leave — I’ll be home for April.

Hi, Jeremy. Our daughter has just applied to Capernwray (Sweden). I was searching the internet hoping to find how to financially help her get there and ran across your posts - and your original request for aid. Would you please let me know what, if any, resources are out there, besides private donations to help a student afford Capernwray? It sounds like you were able to get the funds and are being challenged and enjoying it.
    Thanks for any help,
    Beth
