On Easter Sunday followers of Jesus celebrate His resurrection and His conquering of death - because He shed His blood on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day.

Every year this day means more to me as I realize that Jesus is alive. He died that day on the Cross but today Jesus is alive! I am alive today because Jesus is alive. He continues to live and work in me, as well as others - we’re not perfect but that’s why He came.

Unlike any other religion, doctrine, or truth I have ever heard there is none like this Jesus movement - because there is NOTHING I can do to gain God’s favour or to gain eternal life but it is what God Himself did in Jesus. No matter how perfect I think I am I fall short of the glory of God; no matter how despicable I become I am forgiven in what Jesus did.

That is cause to celebrate! Thinking upon this I rejoice for what He has done for me. I rejoice because He has done it for you! I pray that all come to know this Jesus the way I do, and I only hope I can share the love He has poured out on to me.
