Pop Withdrawl

Well, its been a week since I quit drinking pop:”Want to stop Pop(The original post I made when I stopped drinking pop)”:http://jeremycurry.com/archives/2005/08/01/want-to-stop-pop/ , cold turkey. I didn’t know how serious it was. I’ve stopped before (with failure….) but it wasn’t THIS bad, and it lasted longer than a week…. I mean, I crave sugar, and food, and EVERYTHING all the time. I made my self sick with the unhealthy amounts of freezies I had over 4 days. *Ahhh!* I can’t satisfy the craving. But, I will go on, I will prevail.

I miss the sweet taste of Vanilla Coke. There it sits, in my fridge; everyone having it when the choose. But, sleep does keep my mind off of it. But of course, since I’ve been off pop, and then the pure sugar I’ve ingested in the form of freezies, my sleeping patterns are _wacko_. I sleep for a bit, I wake up, do stuff, and soon go to sleep a few hours later, than repeat. Oh well, it will take some getting used to, but I’m sure thing will be worked out when school starts in September. Any ways, pray for me. I’m going to try and sleep.

Ack! Good luck! I went about 3 weeks without drinking any caffeine at all when I quit. Now when I go out to eat I allow myself to drink a soda, but I make a SERIOUS effort not to buy any of it when I go grocery shopping.

My hubby still drinks scores of Vanilla Coke. Do they put crack in that stuff?

Luckily for me I hate the taste of it.

LoL, I don’t know, it sure is the most addictive thing I’ve ever had (which says DOESN’T a lot). I used to go through bunches when my Dad bought cases of cans. It didn’t last us long!

Ditto… I went through about 6 cans a day. I felt really tired for a few days but after a week or so I actually got MORE energy. I think because I was drinking so much pop it was keeping me from getting a good nights rest.

I hear that. I could never get to sleep, and always would wake up tired! But the bad part is, sometimes when I’m with my friends, we buy 2 litre bottles (1 per 2 or 3 people), and we’re usually done with it in an hour or 2.
