Sheba Injured
My dog, Sheba, got a cut tonight, on her foot while in the back yard (weird stuff has been showing up in the back yard since the new neighbours… but that’s another story). It’s not just a nick either… We called a vet in town (that is open late), and they said it would be $100 just to take a look at her, and around $600 on the outside if anything needed to be done. THAT’S CRAZY….
You have to understand, we love Sheba very much, but the money is just too tight. $100 would be hard enough to get together, let alone $700 in total. BAH! We decided that there’s nothing that can be done tonight.
It makes me angry, upset and frustrated that I’m unable to do anything about it. I’m not a dog expert, but it looks to me like it could use some stitches. We know a vet in the Kitchener area though, who was the vet of our last dog, Shadow; he had cheaper rates, if memory serves me correctly. We’re going to keep an eye on it, and if its really bad, we’ll probably go there.
But as I said, I hate being uncertain, sitting here, only being able to complain about it… Its funny though, Sheba is taking it better than I am. She hasn’t complained once, and still has the same energy rush when any one passes by the doggy treats. I don’t know, I hope she’s okay.
