Make Poverty History

A prisoner of war that is given a dark cell, with a crack of light that shines through, has a better chance of surviving, than if left in complete darkness.

Poverty is rampant through out civilation, in the third world, and in our own backyard. If everyone gave up a little comfort, and put a little effort to demand change, the world would be a better place, and poverty could be abolished. Right here, in the city I live, Hamilton Ontario, one in three children live at, or below the poverty line. Most of those children are within central Hamilton. The national average of children at or below the poverty line is one in five. This is in Canada, one of the best places in the world to live in. I work with inner city children all the time, with City Kidz, and True North Camp once a summer, and its amazing to see how little it takes, to make a huge investment in a child’s life. It can be monetary, or just giving up some time to help out, but everything makes a difference.

Any ways, help give hope to children and families all over the world, and help the Make Poverty History cause.
